ScalaBridge2 Prayer for Peace Gala Concert

Composed by Yasuhide Ito, a composer from Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, based on an episode about the Shizuoka Air Raid by Dr. Hiroya Sugano, a doctor living in Shizuoka City.A drama of consolation and requiem that has no boundaries between Japan and the U.S., beginning with the memorial and requiem to the American soldiers of the B-29s who died during the Shizuoka Air Raid.The importance of a heart that remembers human dignity in the midst of war and prays for the comrades-in-arms who fought for each other and for their country. ❣️We will hear from Chieko Nakatogawa, the representative of the Uki Uki Project in Japan, about the background and thoughts that led to the conception of this opera, and the vocalists will also share their thoughts on this work.❤️
